  • What is a Full Lace Wig or Front Lace Wig?
Full Lace Wigs are full lace with the entire wig cap being designed from transparent lace and it also has transparent lace all around the perimeter of the wig. With the full lace wig, you can wear your hair in high up dos and ponytails. Once applied, the wig creates it's own flawless, natural and invisible hairline. A Front Lace or Lace Front Wig only has the transparent lace in the front of the wig and the remainder of the wig is made from a regular netted wig cap. You are not able to wear a front lace wig in high up dos or ponytails.

  • What is the deference between a front wig and a full lace wig?
A full lace wig is capable of being parted anywhere on the scalp. They work great if you are going to have the hair going back giving a completely natural hairline worn back or down. The front lace wigs have the lace in the forehead of the wig. You still get the completely natural look but with the front lace you cant put it back in a tight pony tail.

Lace Front: Lace Front is usually a small piece of nylon net that extends about 1 inch outward from the front of base unit. The Lace Front can be trimmed and easily customized to the desired hairline. It is very natural looking and better in hotter climates but is not as durable as thin skin. Thin Skin: Thin Skin bases are more durable and also gives the appearance of hair growing from the scalp. • What are Bleached Knots?
Bleached knots is a technique where they bleach out the knot that is made when each strand of hair is hand-tied into the lace at the base of the cap. It bleaches the knot out, making it a little lighter so that it does not stand out as much. It gives it a more natural appearance as though the hairs are growing out of the scalp. This is recommended when you choice a dark hair color.

  • What is Remy Hair?
Remy Hair is human hair that is collected directly from a single hair donor. It is also referred to as Cuticle Hair, Virgin Hair and Cut Hair. It is the softest and most natural hair on the market. The majority of human hair sold in the industry is non-cuticle hair. The hair cuticle has been stripped by using an acid-bath. However, with Remy hair, this is not done, so the hair cuticle is intact, therefore the hair is stronger. It also makes the hair softer and more natural and makes it so it does not tangle which allows it to be ideal for longer wear.

If you order a unit and select Wavy or Curly texture - that is a processed texture that is put into the hair with a perm for the wave or curl. It should not be hot curled or flat ironed as it may over process the hair since it has a permanent perm already put into the hair. The only units that can be hot curled or flat ironed are the Straight hair textures, Yaki Hair texture, or any unit that states that it is naturally curly or wavy.

  • How do I know what length to choose?
Whatever length you choose is how long each individual strand of hair will be. So if you order a 20 inch wig, each strand (excluding baby hairs) will be 20 inches long. Keep in mind what style of wig you are getting. If you choose a curly or kinky perm, remember that curly hair tightens up and will fall higher. For example, a 20" wig permed in the AMANDA style may only measure out to be 18 inches long if measured curly. But when pulling the curl straight, the strand will be 20 inches. If you are planning to have your wig cut and styled with layers, or a shorter style into a "bob" make sure your order a length that is 2-3 inches longer than your final look. After you get your wig, you can take it to the salon and have your stylist add the perfect cut for your face.

  • What color lace is best suited to my skin tone?
The color of lace depends on a lot of factors. First and foremost, the best applications are usually camouflaged by makeup at the hairline and where the hair is parted. This is truly how you get a natural appearance because even though lace blends with the skin, certain lighting conditions can show the lace. Most women prefer to get a lace close to their skin tone, this is the best option if you don't want to experiment with using makeup (concealer) to camouflage the lace, then it's best to select a shade that blends with your skin tone. If you plan to use makeup, then you should select a shade close to, or lighter than, your own. Our standard lace colors are: transparent: suitable for most complexions beige: suitable for those with very light complexions light brown: suitable for women with light brown skin brown: suitable for women with chocolate skin dark brown lace: suitable for women with dark chocolate skin

  • Are lace wigs less expensive than hair extensions & weaves?
Hair extensions are very expensive, you are not only paying the for hair, but also paying a stylist to install and up-keep. Extensions require a lot of maintenance and you have to go back to the salon every couple of weeks to have your extensions maintained. Extensions also damage your scalp and hair, and can actually cause you to permanently lose your hair. Many of our customers switched to wearing lace wigs after losing their hair from extensions, chemo-therapy or other health problems. Now, because of celebrities like Beyonce, Tyra Banks and Jessica Simpson, people are wearing lace wigs to change up their style, or get that special look for their wedding. A lace wig can last for years with proper care. If you are a daily wig wearer we suggest getting a few different wigs, and alternating them, so your wigs will last much longer.
